Substitute School Nurse-RN

Position Summary: Responsible for providing medical care to students and staff.

Qualifications:

• Requires an Associate’s degree or diploma from an accredited college or nursing school


• Requires 2 to 5 years of prior experience in a health-related occupation


• Required to be a Registered Nurse and maintain current licensure


• Knowledge of medical terminology, practices and procedure.

• Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships


• Ability to effectively supervise and motivate others

Essential Job Functions include the following:

• Participates as a health professional on care teams and IEP’s to develop and implements individual health plans to promote, maintain or restore health, prevent illness and effect rehabilitation


• Provides information to parents regarding student health, community resources, etc.


• Other duties may be assigned
