Job Description

Lamoille South Supervisory Union is looking for an RN to join our team as a Substitute School Nurse.

In this role, you'll step in when needed to keep our health offices running smoothly when our regular school nurses are out.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to students from Pre- K through 12th grade.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following district guidelines.
• Provide appropriate care during urgent and emergency situations
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, and healthcare providers as needed
• Maintain clear, confidential health records for the day.
• Follow school health policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

Qualifications:

• An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont
• Professional, dependable, and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred but not required
• Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
• Current CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain/renew
