Caroline County Public Schools seeks Substitute Bus Drivers to transport students on assigned routes and assist students while entering and exiting the bus.

Starting immediately, you will follow schedules, ensure safety, and maintain professional conduct with students and staff. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a Maryland Class B CDL or ability to obtain, and pre-employment testing. Must lift up to 50 lbs and uphold a neat, professional appearance.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of automobile driving experience with a good driving record.
• Previous school bus driving experience preferred.
• MD Class B CDL (air brake, passenger and school bus endorsements) or able to obtain per pre-service training.
• Must meet pre-employment testing.
• Must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs.

• Drive students to and from schools on assigned routes on time.
• Adhere to policies and maintain appropriate student behavior and discipline.
• Interact positively with student passengers and maintain discipline for safe driving.
• Administer first aid as required and contact administrators if needed.
• Transport, supervise, and assist students with special needs and physical handicaps.
• Complete pre- and post-trip bus inspections and refuel daily.
• Maintain a clean bus and report mechanical defects.
• Complete records and accident reports timely.
