Job summary

Nestucca Valley School District is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver to transport students on assigned routes under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator. You will drive safely, load and unload passengers at designated stops, and follow a strict schedule while upholding district expectations.

Qualifications

• CDL license and Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate required.
• Ability to obtain certification in a timely fashion.
• Knowledge of state rules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on an assigned route, observing all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload students at designated stops on a set schedule.
• Perform pre-trip Vehicle checks and report any deficiencies to maintenance staff.
• Record fuel, oil and mileage readings and keep the bus clean inside and out.
• Maintain student discipline and report disciplinary issues as required.
• Attend trainings and complete required online and in-person sessions by deadlines.
