Job summary

The Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for students, supporting curricular and extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, maintaining discipline on the bus, performing pre-trip inspections, and reporting incidents to the Transportation Director. Valid PA commercial driver license with school bus endorsement is required; prior experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; preference given to those with two years of college.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver19s license with School Bus Endorsement and Passenger Endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; basic written communication.
• Physical ability to assist with loading/unloading, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must meet all background and responsible conduct requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain discipline and safety of students on the bus.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Transport only authorized students to designated stops.
• Report accidents and incidents to the Transportation Director or proper authority.
