Job summary

Lincoln County School District #2 in Afton, Wyoming is seeking a Substitute Bus Aide to assist the transportation team in safely directing students, loading and unloading, and maintaining order on the bus. Qualifications

• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Completion of district transportation trainings.
• Ability to monitor student conduct for safety.
• Ability to assist substitute drivers as needed.
• Ability to operate the two-way radio.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control students on moving buses and when stopped.
• Assist loading/unloading and loading of students.
• Ensure safety devices are fastened and safe loading procedures followed.
• Support drivers with records and reports.
• Maintain professional conduct and communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Assist with bus cleanliness and per-route information lists.
• Perform other duties as needed.
