Job summary

Lund Co in Vermont is seeking a Substitute Residential Counselor to support pregnant and parenting individuals and their children within our treatment programs. The role offers a variable schedule with daytime, evening, and overnight shifts, and pays $21 per hour with a $2.50 per hour overnight/weekend differential.

You will provide parent education, life skills support, and milieu management, along with medication administration and transportation, collaborating with a team to deliver

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services related field strongly preferred.
  • Individuals pursuing Bachelor's degree with relevant experience encouraged to apply.
  • Experience providing care to young children is necessary.

  • Counselors provide parent education, life skill support, and milieu management within a treatment setting providing residential services to pregnant and parenting individuals and their children.
  • Responsibilities also include medication administration, transportation, and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with team of professionals to ensure high quality integrated services for individuals with mental health and substance use treatment needs.
  • Opportunities to provide nurturing care to young children in a fun and fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training provided.
  • Opportunity for supervision toward certification or credentialing as applicable.

About the Position:
  • Substitute Residential Counselors work a variable schedule.
  • ResidentialShiftsAvailable:
    • Daytime (7am-5pm)
    • Evenings (2pm-12am)
    • Overnights (10pm-8am)
  • Counselors provide parent education, life skill support, and milieu management within treatment setting providing residential services to pregnant and parenting individuals and their children.
  • Responsibilities also include medication administration, transportation, and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with team of professionals to ensure high quality integrated services for individuals with mental health and substance use treatment needs.
  • Opportunities to provide nurturing care to young children in a fun and fast‑paced environment.
  • Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training provided.
  • Opportunity for supervision toward certification or credentialing as applicable.
  • Hourlyrate of $21/hour.

What We Look For:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services related field strongly preferred; individuals pursuing Bachelor's degree and with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience providing care to young children necessary.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment; flexibility, adaptability, and open‑mindedness necessary.
  • Experience working in residential treatment setting preferred.
