Job summary

Douglas County School District in Pine Grove Elementary is seeking a Substitute - Program Aide for the BASE program to support elementary children in an unstructured setting. Responsibilities include building positive relationships, ensuring safety, and guiding behavior with constructive activities.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, and First Aid & CPR Certification from the American Heart Association.

• Implement program activities that provide children with opportunities to learn and develop skills, explore interests, and experience a sense of self-worth and belonging, and contribute to the community.

Job Description:

Responsible for providing assistance to Program Leaders in working with elementary school-age children in an unstructured environment. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasional lifting, five (5) to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting
