Acelero Learning is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to cover Head Start classrooms serving 3- to 4-year-olds. The role involves collaborating with another teacher to manage a class of 14–20 children across multiple locations in the county.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Responsabilités

• Follows the curriculum as scheduled during the time of coverage.
• Plans and implements learning experiences to advance literacy, phonemic awareness, numeracy, and language development.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment with proper adult-child supervision.
• Supports social and emotional development using positive guidance approaches.
• Interacts with children in a supportive manner.
• Encourages family involvement in the Head Start program and builds relationships with families.
• Works effectively with other teachers in the classroom and center.
• Follows all Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and operations.
• Reports to work on time and communicates schedule changes to the Center Director and Early Learning/Disabilities Specialist.
• Participates in meetings, events, and training as required.
