Acelero Learning Delaware- Milford Center is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to cover Head Start classrooms with 3- to 4-year-olds. The on-call role involves supporting a class of 14–20 children alongside another teacher across various Delaware locations.

The position is part-time with a pay rate of $15.60/hr and a comprehensive benefits package. A High School Diploma and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Follows the curriculum as scheduled during coverage.
• Plans and implements learning experiences for 3–4 year olds to support literacy, numeracy, and language development.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Supports social and emotional development using positive guidance.
• Interacts with children in a supportive manner and encourages family involvement in Head Start.
• Works effectively with another teacher and adheres to center policies and procedures.
• Reports to the Center Director and Early Learning/Disabilities Specialist if schedules change.
• Attends required meetings, events and training.

The Substitute Teacher will work collaboratively with one other teacher to ensure the successful operation of a classroom with a total of 14 to 20 children.
