Job summary

Acelero Learning Wisconsin – Cudahy South Center is seeking an assistant teacher for Fall 2026. This part-time role pays $15.96/hr and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

You will collaborate with teachers to support early childhood education, assist with classroom activities, and promote positive guidance for children inside a supportive, diverse program. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with Substitute Certification preferred or an Associate/Bachelor's

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to ensure smooth classroom operations.
• Support social and emotional development using positive guidance approaches.

• Follow center policies on health, safety, nutrition, and operations.

Your Role:

You will work collaboratively with the teachers to ensure the successful operation of a classroom, while helping to build a better future for the children, their families and our communities. Are you ready to join forces and make a difference?

What You'll Do:

Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center. Support the social and emotional development of children and using "positive guidance" approaches to dealing with challenging behaviors. Encourage the involvement of the families of the children in a Head Start program and support the development of relationships between children and their families. Follow all Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.

What You Bring:

The commitment and passion to work with children and families. Effective communication and written skills. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Substitute Certification Preferred or Assoc. Degree or Bachelor's Degree. Willing to complete Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification or Have it Already Completed.
