Job summary

Douglas County School District in Mountain View is seeking a Substitute Preschool Instructor to provide instruction and foster positive interactions with students and colleagues in a classroom setting.

You will communicate with students, parents, and the school team; assess needs using formal and informal methods; maintain progress data and confidential reports; and participate in ongoing staff development while supporting life skills and curriculum goals.

Qualifications

• First Aid & CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• High School or Equivalent diploma.

Cooperate with the special education team in order to help special education children meet Individual Educational Plan goals. Cooperate with team members to develop and implement Individual Learning Plans for at risk students.

Responsible for providing classroom instruction and positive interaction with students and colleagues. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasional lifting, five (5) to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting
