Oak Harbor Public Schools is seeking substitute paraeducators to work on an on-call basis in various classroom settings from Kindergarten to Grade 12. This role supports Special Education, Lunchroom Supervisors, and Library Media Technician duties without guaranteed hours or benefits.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work with special needs students, and must be a high school graduate or equivalent. This is a flexible position based on employee absenteeism.
Substitute paraeducators work in Kindergarten through Grade 12 classrooms in a variety of settings, including Special Education, Lunchroom Supervisor, and Library Media Technician/In School Suspension, on an on-call basis. Work is based on employee absenteeism and there are no guaranteed hours or benefits.
The paraeducator tutors students, monitors and models behavior, and performs clerical duties such as typing and copying materials.
Interviews are held on an on-going basis throughout the school year.
