Responsibilities:

• Provide health care services to students by performing essential duties such as participating in medical examinations, reviewing findings, and evaluating students' health status.
• Cooperate with school personnel in identifying and meeting social, emotional, and physical needs of students.
• Administer immunizations, provide first aid, and maintain health records.
• Counsel students on good health habits.
• Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe, learning environment by promoting OSHA standards related to bio-hazardous materials, hepatitis, and first aid-CPR training.
• Monitor and follow protocols for dispensing medication, including proper authorization, documentation, and administration.
• Verify student identity and dosage instructions before administering medication.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents regarding students with medical needs requiring exclusion or special attention.
