Job Goal

To maintain and/or improve the students' and school employees' health status, thereby enabling them to fully benefit from the educational experiences.

Performance Responsibilities

• Assist in the screening programs mandated by Indiana Law.
• Maintain comprehensive, up to date health records for each student.
• Give first-aid care for injuries and refer more serious injuries to appropriate person, e.g. school nurse, principal, parent, physician, dentist.
• Provide care for minor illness.
• Make referrals as needed to other health professionals.
• Administer student prescribed medications.
