Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions in Dayton, OH seeks an instructor to support GED preparation programs. You will prepare for classroom instruction, motivate students, and maintain discipline while keeping accurate records in line with applicable guidelines.

The role involves developing instructional plans using TABE diagnostics for students who do not meet requirements and monitoring GED test data, with opportunities for professional learning and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with GED testing processes and TABE diagnostic tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Adequately prepares for classroom instruction.
• Keeps students motivated and achieves realistic, attainable goals.
• Maintains classroom discipline and student engagement.
• Maintains accurate student records and files.
• Adheres to DOL, company, center and department guidelines.
• Develops corrective action plans for students with deficiencies.
• Monitors GED test data and scores.
• Develops instructional plans using TABE diagnostics for students not meeting requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom
• Accounts for students when they are under your responsibility
• Maintains accurate student records and files
• Adheres to all DOL, Company, Center and department guidelines
• Adheres to the guidelines determined by outside agencies
• Develops corrective action plans for students with deficiencies
• Monitors statistical date related to GED test and scores
• Develops instructional plans using TABE diagnostic for those students who do not meet the requirement
• Other duties as assigned
