South Kitsap Employees Will:

Functions
- Assist other personnel to support work activities.
- Maintain a sanitary and safe environment, including work materials and food items, complying with health standards.
- Handle payments, including reconciliation of accounts, for reimbursement of costs.
- Inspect food and supplies for quality, stock levels, and health standards.
- Prepare documentation related to meal sales and program reporting.
- Prepare food and beverages according to health and nutrition guidelines.
- Respond to inquiries about Food and Nutrition Services.
- Serve food items to meet nutritional requirements and requests.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Skills: Ability to perform multiple tasks; specific skills not specified.
- Knowledge: Basic math, understanding procedures, clear communication; specific knowledge not specified.
- Abilities: Schedule activities, collate data, work with others, lift up to 50 pounds, work efficiently, communicate effectively, learn food prep, follow instructions, and establish positive relationships.
Responsibilities
- Work under supervision using standardized procedures; provide information and operate within a budget. Opportunities to impact district services.
Working Environment
- Physical demands include lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, and fine motor skills. The job involves mostly walking and standing, performed in a temperature-controlled, clean environment.
Experience
- Experience is desired but not required.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Certificates & Licenses
- Washington Food and Beverage Service Workers' Permit required.
- American School Food Service Association certification preferred.
Clearances
- Background checks via Washington State Patrol and FBI fingerprinting.
