Job summary

Endazhi-Nitaawiging Charter School seeks a dependable substitute elementary teacher to support students in grades K–6. You will help maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment and follow the regular teacher's lesson plans.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m. with a daily pay rate of $240. Requirements include a Minnesota substitute teaching license or eligibility, the ability to pass a background check, and comfort with K–6 learners; knowledge of Ojibwe is a plus.

• Provide notes for the regular teacher regarding the day’s activities, student progress, and any classroom concerns

Job description

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Minnesota Department of Education substitute teaching license or be willing and eligible to obtain one
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Comfortable working with elementary students in grades K–6
• Previous teaching, classroom, or child-care experience is preferred
• Knowledge of the Ojibwe language is considered an asset
