Kendal at Hanover - Substitute Teacher Position

Kendal at Hanover is looking to add multiple substitutes to our Early Learning Center team! This position is considered per diem and therefore, not eligible for benefits.

Substitute Teachers assist in the daily operation and coordination of Kendal at Hanover Child Care Center. They provide children ranging in ages of six weeks to six years old with a learning environment and experiences to help develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Interact with children in a warm, friendly, and affectionate manner.
2. Bend low for child-level interactions.
3. Use a modulated tone and appropriate language with children.
4. Understand and use positive guidance to reinforce positive behavior.
5. Respond to behaviors in a calm, sensitive, and supportive fashion.
6. Have meaningful conversations and interactions with children, families, and coworkers.
7. Assist children as they explore their environment, interactions, and self-help skills.
8. Ensure children's basic needs are met daily.
9. Provide primary care for assigned children, including observations, records, portfolios, and individual education plans.
10. Adhere to established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
