Job summary

East Greenbush CSD is seeking substitute custodial workers to support daily cleaning and maintenance of school facilities. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, window washing, and basic repairs; assisting with groundskeeping and safe operation of routine systems.

Ideal candidates should have a working knowledge of cleaning practices, be reliable, able to follow instructions, and able to work well with others. Training and schedules will be provided by the Human Resources Office.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors and stairs.
• Dust desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment.
• Wash windows, walls, blackboards, sinks and other fixtures.
• Polish furniture and metal furnishings; empty waste baskets.
• Assist in grounds keeping and minor maintenance tasks as assigned.
