**TITLE:** Substitute Custodian

**JOB SUMMARY:** Maintains the district's school facilities and grounds.

**REPORTS TO:** Building Engineer or Director of Buildings and Grounds

**Qualifications:**

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Physically able to stand, walk, climb, use hands and fingers to handle objects, squat, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and lift/move heavy objects.
• Work in various indoor and outdoor environments, subject to weather changes and noise levels.
• Manual dexterity to handle custodial equipment such as vacuums, mops, electric floor scrubbers, etc.
• Requires lifting materials weighing up to 70 pounds routinely, with occasional heavier lifts.

**Specific Duties:**

• Keep buildings and premises safe, neat, and clean, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas. This includes thorough cleaning, scrubbing floors, cleaning fixtures, washing windows, dusting.
• Ensure doors are locked after evening events.
• Perform regular building checks.
• Move furniture as required.
• Perform snow removal when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
