Ideal candidates possess a New York State DMV driver’s license, can lift 50-100 pounds, and demonstrate a pleasant attitude. A commitment to maintaining schedules and working coexistently with others is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience driving a large van or commercial vehicle.

Description du poste

Substitute cleaners are needed for all GST BOCES campuses to work on an on‑call, as needed basis. This is an all year position. The shift is generally 3 p.m. – 11 p.m. with some flexibility.

Responsibilities

The following work activities are listed as examples only and in no event shall an employee be limited to only those examples listed here:

• Dust, vacuum, sweep
• Wash windows, walls, woodwork, water closets, tubs and bowls
• Gather and dispose of refuse
• Uses heavy mechanical equipment to strip, polish and wash floors
• May open and secure buildings
• May varnish, shellac and polish furniture and brass
• May tend the furnace
• May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks such as unskilled painting or carpentry
• May be required to replace lights, hang window shades and Venetian blinds
• Perform all other duties as assigned
