Job summary

Monticello Central School District is seeking Sub Teacher Aides to support teachers in the classroom, assist with exams, and help manage student activities. The role involves setting up equipment, supervising students, and performing light clerical duties as needed.

Candidate must have a High School diploma or GED, or two years of experience with children or in related activities. The position is paid hourly at $16.50 with potential for additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Two years of experience in a recreational field, arts and crafts, or working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up laboratory equipment.
• Proctors and assists in administering examinations.
• Assists in correcting test papers, recording grades, and maintaining student files.
• Operates recording equipment, reading laboratory equipment, film projectors, and other equipment.
• May perform simple clerical duties under general supervision.
• Reads to children and plays records for children.
• Provides supervision or assistance to students in hallways, bathrooms and other areas as required.
• Distributes supplies to classroom students.
• Assists in supervising recreation, lunch periods and study halls.
• May assist in cafeteria cleanup and other housekeeping tasks.
• Assists in arts and crafts or other classroom activities.
• Attends and participates in designated school meetings and trainings.
