Job description

East Greenbush Central School District is continuously recruiting Substitute School Bus Drivers.

Responsibilities include:

1. Operating a school bus on a regular schedule or on special occasions.
2. Checking the operating conditions of the bus before starting a trip.
3. Reporting any operational defects to the immediate supervisor.
4. Informing children about safety practices.
5. Maintaining orderly conduct of children on the bus.
6. Keeping the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and neat.
7. Maintaining records of mileage, routes, times, and incidents.
8. Preparing and maintaining maps of routes and pick-up points.
9. Assisting handicapped students with boarding, alighting, and seating when necessary.
