Qualifications

• Must read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip inspection of school bus prior to every trip for defects.
• Use established routes and designated bus stops.
• Operate bus on approved time schedule.
• Report bus accidents and student injuries to authorities.
• Instruct riders regarding being responsible passengers.
• Drive with student safety as the first priority.
• Establish favorable working relationships with other drivers, maintenance personnel, teachers, students and principals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of local, state and federal rules/regulations and state laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Transportation.
