Qualifications

• Background checks (BCII/FBI) favorable; new report every 6 years.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License.
• Valid Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements or willing to obtain.
• Negative pre-employment drug screen; random testing thereafter.
• Pass the T-8 physical for school bus drivers.
• Complete Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Reporting and Training.
• Enroll in Ohio RAPBACK system through the Department of Education.
• Meet physical qualifications per Administrative Code.
• No more than six points on driving abstract in last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control, enforce regulations, and safely transport students to/from bus stops and schools.
• Report misconduct to Building Administrator.
• Report accidents and complete required forms.
• Report delays and mechanical failures to maintenance or Transportation Supervisor.
• Maintain daily pre-trip safety and condition checks.
• Meet or exceed required standards in the Administrative Code.
• Participate in transportation training programs as required.
• Abide by all transportation policies under the Ohio Administrative Code.
• Adhere to driver record checks with no more than six points.
