Qualifications

• Must have Motor Vehicle Operator's license and a current CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsement.

• Experience as a bus driver, preferably in a school district.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a school bus on days when school is in session over designated routes in accordance with time schedules.
• Transports students, teachers and others on field or activity trips.
• Inspects bus daily to ensure it is safe and in good working order.
• Cleans and refuels the bus as needed and maintains equipment.
• Ensures communication devices are functional before each trip.
• Reports any mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents promptly.
• Maintains order and discipline among students and follows district policies.
• Keeps records and reports as required and assists with bus drills and emergencies.
