Job summary

Big Walnut Local School District is seeking substitute bus drivers to transport students to and from school and district events. Substitutes are called on an as-needed basis to cover routes and activities.

Eligibility requires meeting all Ohio bus driver certification requirements. Applicants must meet the listed criteria, including a high school diploma, a valid CDL (training provided by BW), a clean driving record, and successful completion of a physical and drug test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid CDL (BW will train) is required.
• Safe driving record, insurability are required.
• Successful passing of a physical and drug test is required.
• At least five years of driving experience are required.
• Clear and current BCI/FBI background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school and school-sponsored events as needed.
• Operate bus in a safe and timely manner following district policies.

The Big Walnut LocalSchool District is currently accepting applications for substitute bus drivers. Subs are called on an as-needed basis to transport students to and from school, and to school-sponsored events. In order to become a substitute bus driver for Big Walnut Local Schools, you must fulfill all requirements by the State of Ohio for bus driver certification.

Minimum requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL (BW will train)
• Safe driving record, insurability
• Successful passing of a physical and drug test
• At leastfive years of driving experience
