Job summary

The Mansfield City School District is seeking substitutes for Bus Aide positions. Responsibilities include assisting the bus driver in loading and unloading handicapped students and promoting safe behavior on routes.

Job description

Substitute Bus Aide positions are available for the Mansfield City School District.

Bus Aide Requirements (include but are not limited to):

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be physically able to lift and assist driver in loading and unloading handicapped students.
• Be at least 18 yearsold.
• Willingness to complete a pre-service training program.
• Ability to cope with stressful situations.
• A positive attitude.
• Ability to be flexible relative to job duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to pass a substance screening test at random.

All substitutes are required to complete fingerprint testing through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as other pre-employment screenings at their own expense.

Conduct:

Each staff member shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

Each staff member shall serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings. Each staff member has a moral responsibility to help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values
