Bellevue School District is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher responsible for supporting students of all abilities, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will assist in implementing Individual Education Programs (IEP) and engage students in appropriate activities.
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably experience working in a school setting. The position guarantees a varied work schedule with pay of $31.30/hour based on need.
The position of Assistant Preschool Teacher is responsible for assisting and supporting all students of all abilities, providing instructional support, implementing planned activities, ensuring safety, and assisting with the implementation of components of Individual Education Programs (IEP's).

Positions in this class typically require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
These are on-call positions. The number of days or hours that a substitute works is dependent upon the number of staff in the position who are absent on any given day. No specific guarantee of work is offered. The rate of pay is $31.30/hour. Substitutes are not eligible for benefits until they work 630 hours in a certain school year.
