Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Plan and schedule own work, manage impediments and maintain workplace safety.

Job Description

Position Summary: Under general supervision, performs routine cleaning of school facilities including floors, walls, doors, restrooms, walkways, entrances, and furniture; monitors the building for damage, and participates in or recommends preventive maintenance measures to the supervisor.

Job Scope: This position functions under the direction of the Head Custodian / Facilities Supervisor and operates within established systems and rules. The work is routine but may vary with changing conditions. Planning responsibilities are minimal, limited to scheduling own work and managing impediments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the duties described. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a custodian in a K-12 school environment.
• Bilingual Spanish.
