BASIC FUNCTIONS: Monitor student behavior at traffic intersections; escort children across the street when coming and going from school; assure student safety as they cross.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE OF: Traffic and safety laws and rules.
ABILITY TO: Assist children with safe crossing at an assigned intersection or crosswalk. Communicate effectively. Understand and work within scope of authority. Observe traffic and safety laws and rules. Comprehend and follow instructions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to high school diploma or equivalent or sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid First Aid Certificate issued by an authorized agency.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATES: If selected for the position, out-of-district applicants must be T.B. tested and fingerprinted. A practical skills test may be administered at the time of interview.
