Substitute Accounting Services Instructor

On-Call/Hourly/Non-Exempt/Temp Professional BHJC - Human Resources, Memphis, TN, US

SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:

Provides engaging instruction, administers tests, and evaluates student progress, understanding, and proficiency in assigned field of Career Technical Training.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides students with industry-recognized instruction and training.
  • Develops and prepares lessons; recommends curricula changes and supplemental materials.
  • Administers and corrects tests; logs and maintains progress and attendance.
  • Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  • Manages the classroom by moving about the room to tutor, coach, evaluate, and assist each student as the need arises.
  • Motivates and counsels students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits.
  • Evaluates and supervise students in an on-the-job training experience.
  • Participates in providing hands-on activities for students in the career preparation program.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certified, licensed, or accredited by the State in which the Center is located or by an accredited professional trade organization.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience must meet the state or professional trade organization requirements.

OTHER:

  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
