Job summary

Celebree School of The Woodlands Creekside is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support classroom management and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons.

You will help create a welcoming environment for children and families, maintain safety and cleanliness, and communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress. Must be English-speaking and at least 21 years old; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• English speaking is a must.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Effective communication skills verbal and written.
• Two years' experience as assistant teacher preferred.
• Minimum 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead Teachers in classroom management ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assist in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assist in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained.
• Present a positive and professional image at all times adhering to uniform requirements.
• Communicate effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.

Hours: As needed between M-F 6:30am - 6:30pm

Requirements

• English speaking is a must.


• Childcare experience minimum 1 year.


• Two years' experience as assistant teacher preferred.


• Minimum 21 years of age.


• Energetic, enthusiastic, loving and with passion to work with kids.


• Effective communication skills verbal and written.


• Certification in CPR and First Aid.


• Ability and flexibility in working with various age groups.

Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching, lifting, and carrying; ability to lift 50 pounds.
