Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide school bus transportation to children, parents, and other passengers as assigned.
  • Knowledge of traffic and safety laws, regulations, ordinances, and codes.
  • Operate and inspect a school bus.
  • Understand routes, maps, schedules, manuals, work orders, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit reports, inspections, repair logs, and maintenance logs.
  • Perform safety drills and provide training to staff and volunteers.
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
Other Duties
  • Operate custodial equipment and perform minor maintenance on buses.
  • Assist in setting up furniture and equipment for events.
  • Maintain grounds and perform snow removal duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients and records.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Qualifications
Required
  • Clean driving record meeting Idaho DOT requirements.
  • Pass DOT physical and background checks, including state daycare clearance.
  • Proof of auto insurance.
  • Obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Minimum age of 25 years.
  • Clearance of Tuberculosis.
Physical Demands
  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, operate vehicle and tools, reach, climb, and smell.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment

Exposure to moving parts, chemicals, weather, traffic hazards, and moderate noise levels.
