Job summary

Reinhausen Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to install conduit, grounding systems, and high‑voltage wiring for substations. You’ll perform maintenance and repairs on HV equipment and coordinate with project leaders on-site to resolve field issues.

You will travel regularly to customer sites in the Southwest, operate forklifts and aerial lifts, and work safely in outdoor environments. A high school diploma or GED is required, with strong reading of electrical diagrams and solid mechanical

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, prints, and one-line diagrams.
• Strong mechanical skills and comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Self-motivated team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel regularly and work safely outdoors in changing weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, grounding systems, structural steel, disconnect switches, buswork, and electrical wiring for substation projects.
• Maintain and repair high-voltage substations and related equipment.
• Operate forklifts and aerial lifts to support construction and installation activities.
• Coordinate jobsite activities with project leaders and team members to resolve field issues.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the Southwest to ensure successful project execution.

What you bring to the table:

• You have a high school diploma or GED, and experience in substation construction
• You have the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, prints, and one-line diagrams
• You have strong mechanical skills and are comfortable using manual and power tools
• You are a self-motivated team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• You are willing to travel regularly and can work safely in outdoor environments and changing weather conditions
