Brazos Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a System Technician Supervisor to lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining critical substation equipment that powers our transmission system. You will oversee installation, testing, maintenance, and repair while ensuring equipment reliability and safe practices.

The role requires strong leadership and a background in protection and controls, with experience in substation operations and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years in Protection & Controls or related field.
• Experience installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting substation equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of substation & P&C technicians to install, test, maintain, and repair substation equipment.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of relays, meters, breakers, transformers, and related gear.
• Plan and coordinate construction, maintenance, and emergency work to meet needs.
• Ensure compliance with NERC, ERCOT, and company standards and track regulatory records.
• Manage equipment maintenance databases and department records; assist with budgeting and procurement.
• Foster relationships with internal departments, member cooperatives, contractors, and partners.
