Jacobs is seeking a Substation Studies Engineer to perform power system analyses for planning, design, and expansion of transmission and distribution substations. You will develop and validate models, run technical studies, and provide recommendations to ensure reliable operation.
You will work with teams across North America and globally, travel as needed, and contribute to reports and client presentations.
The Substation Studies Engineer is responsible for performing power system analyses to support the planning, design, operation, and expansion of transmission and distribution substations. As a substation studies engineer, you will develop and validate system models, performs technical studies, evaluates equipment performance, and provides recommendations to ensure reliable and compliant operation of the power system and substation design.
The successful candidate shall demonstrate related experience and technical knowledge in power system modeling and analysis through past experience with consulting engineering firms, developers and/or utilities.
