Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Relay Settings Technical Specialist 2 with protective relay experience to work on transmission and distribution systems in substations and protection/control projects through 500kV.

The role emphasizes a Client First approach and involvement in detailed design and mentoring across projects. The candidate will perform relay setting development for SEL, GE, ABB relays, conduct short circuit analyses, and use Aspen OneLiner, PSS CAPE, and GE EnerVista to implement

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in protective relay settings.
• Experience with microprocessor relays (SEL, GE, ABB) preferred.
• Ability to conduct short circuit studies and relay coordination.
• Understanding of protection schemes and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop protective relay settings for microprocessor relays for transmission and substations.
• Perform short circuit analysis and coordination studies.
• Utilize protection software tools (SEL, GE EnerVista, Aspen OneLiner).
• Assist on multiple projects with mentoring and supervision.
• Manage tasks and prioritize deadlines.
