Job summary

CDM Smith (Industrial Division) is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead multi‑discipline teams delivering substation programs across the United States. You will drive scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, on‑time design packages and successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree, and PMI/DBIA credentials or equivalent, with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
10 years of related experience.
PMP, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Manage substation projects from concept through detailed design and construction support.
Lead multi-discipline engineering teams and coordinate compliance deliverables to meet quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
Define scope, schedule, staffing, and cost in proposal development with Sales Leader.
Mentor and lead multi-discipline project teams and ensure adherence to standards.
Act as main client contact to deliver a legendary client experience and grow the account.
