Job summary

Alpha 3 is seeking a Substation Engineer (P&C) in Elkridge, MD. This full-time role supports high voltage projects from concept to detailed design with a hybrid schedule: three days in the office, two from home.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in electrical engineering or closely related field required.
• Masters in electrical power engineering or minimum 2 years relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of substations, transformers, breakers, buswork, and protection schemes.
• Familiarity with NEC/NESC codes and digital relays is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and create designs and drawings under senior guidance.
• Prepare deliverables such as one lines, schematics, layouts, site plans, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
