Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Substation Graduate Engineer–P&C to join a seasoned team delivering protection and control designs for utility-scale substations, solar, and wind projects.

You will support project managers, prepare reports and drawings, review submittals, RFIs, and assist field activities during construction while developing professional engineering skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• Familiar with IEEE, ANSI, NESC codes and standards.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with sound engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for protection and control design for utility-scale substations for power delivery, solar, and wind applications.
• Prepares reports, specifications, and drawing packages.
• Review and approve project submittals, RFIs and support field activities during construction.
• Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
• Day-to-day support and input to internal and external Project Managers.
