Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a qualified professional to support testing and maintenance of power equipment in Electric Transmission and Distribution Substations. The role involves testing transformers, circuit breakers, DC battery systems, and creating technical reports and SAP work orders.

The candidate will lead training seminars, perform second-level review of nuclear test data, operate substation test equipment, and develop procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years directly related experience.
• Bachelor degree preferred degree or its equivalence in additional demonstrated directly related experience/education.
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of software applications used in Electric Transmission maintenance and record keeping.
• Knowledge of substation equipment, operations and maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teambuilding skills, organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Research databases to identify systemic issues and report recommendations to leadership. Assist with the development of test procedures, operating procedures, and job aids. Lead training seminars and presentations. Perform second level review of nuclear test data. Operate various substation test equipment. Create documentation for issue resolution, including technical reports and SAP work orders.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

3+ years directly related experience. Interface experience with Substation Engineering and Substation technical roles.Bachelor degree preferred degree or its equivalence in additional demonstrated directly related experience/education; Graduate of Electrical Equipment or System Protection Development Programs desirable;

Advanced computer skills andknowledge of softwareapplications used in Electric Transmission maintenance and record keeping;

Knowledge of substation equipment, operations and maintenance; Strong skills for obtaining, reporting and managing electronic databases;

Extensive knowledge of Electric Transmission safety and work guidelines and procedures;

Have a working knowledge of control design drawings;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teambuilding skills, organizational skills;

Strong leadership and problem solving skills;

Must be capable of working with minimum supervisor, must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills;

Must be capable of lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and prolonged standing;

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

$73200 - $95000

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
