Job summary

Cianbro is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead daily activities in the planning and supervision of electrical and mechanical work for substations. You will coordinate multiple crews, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and align efforts with project schedules and budgets.

The role requires 5+ years in substation construction/maintenance supervision, state electrical licensing, and strong planning and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Leads by example in safety, quality and productivity.
• 5+ years construction management and/or craft supervision experience in substation work.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate effectively.
• Electrical licensing in accordance with state requirements.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write and communicate daily activity plans, including hazard identification and safe work practices as well as ensure daily sign offs and document control occurs.
• Work with project supervision to communicate production goals and quality specifications, discuss issues around people, means and methods, material or equipment use, etc., and ideas to help team achieve project goals.
• Participate in planning means and methods.
• Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed; monitor and manage crew productivity; seek continuous productivity improvements.
• Willing to hold Crew TM's accountable.
• When rework is required, help team learn from mistakes and record costs.
• Help forecast equipment, materials or workforce needs as required.
• Seeks solutions to special requests or problems with their work in a timely and professional manner.
• Understand the project cost code structure related to work activities for time card purposes.
• Develop Work Packages.

Job description

This position will safely lead the daily activities in the planning and supervision of electrical and mechanical work consistent with the project goals and the expected standards established by Cianbro. Provide leadership and coordination for multiple crews engaged in substation construction and maintenance activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements. Work closely with project supervision to develop work packages, manage productivity, forecast resource needs, and drive successful project outcomes through effective planning, communication, and technical expertise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work together with project supervision on a daily basis to communicate production goals and quality specifications of work, discuss issues that have surfaced (around people, means and methods, material or equipment use, etc. extra or out of scope work), and ideas to help team achieve project goals.

• Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed. Monitor and manage crew productivity. Ensure ongoing efforts are made to improve productivity.
