Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Electrical EIT/Design Coordinator in Minnesota. You will evaluate engineering techniques, work with owners to develop recommendations and review documents for cross-disciplinary conflicts.

You will write specifications, select equipment and coordinate with CAD staff and architects on projects. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus, at least 2 years of design experience, and a drive toward professional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
Willingness to pursue registration (EIT/PE).
Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms preferred.
2+ years designing electrical lighting, power and systems for building projects (EIT a plus).

Responsibilities

Perform assignments evaluating electrical engineering techniques and procedures.
Work with owners to develop recommendations.
Review electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
Write/edit electrical specifications; select equipment and devices.
Contract administration with field inspections and conflict resolution.
Function as a Project Manager on small/mid-size projects as needed.
Supervise Electrical CAD Technicians and coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
Perform other duties as needed.
