Job summary

ITC Holdings Corp. is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of power system components.

The role involves preparing estimates, drawings and specifications for internal projects and leading design efforts for substations and relays. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) and 2–5+ years of related experience, with strong analytical and communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related experience for Intermediate Engineer.
• 5+ years of related experience for Senior Engineer.
• Power system coursework preferred for electrical engineering majors.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Utility experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi-task in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees and contractors in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of system components.
• Prepare estimates, material requisitions, specifications and drawings for internally designed projects.
• Recommend solutions to troubleshoot technical problems on electrical equipment and systems.
• Lead design projects by checking contractor designs and issuing projects for construction.
• Create designs for substation installations, protective relaying systems, relay settings and SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with other engineers and departments across functions.
• Generate internal and external reports on transmission system.
• Attend meetings and trainings to increase professional knowledge and skills.
