Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks talented electrical engineers to join our Substation Engineering & Design team across Staff, Senior, and Principal levels. You will contribute to grid modernization, reliability, and renewable integration through design and delivery of critical substation infrastructure.

Positions require extensive technical expertise, leadership, and mentoring capabilities, with compensation reflecting the level of experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• 2+ years relevant engineering experience; demonstrated proficiency.
• EIT/FE strongly preferred; PE may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects of moderate to large size, scope and complexity.
• Provide field engineering oversight and direction for activities such as testing, installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate multiple projects and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
