Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking an Electrical Engineer II or III to focus on substation design and relay protection schemes. The ideal candidate will have a BSEE and relevant experience in power systems and electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• BSEE – Power Systems preference; experience in protective relaying, metering, control systems, telecommunications, or electronics desirable.
• Electric utility experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of three-phase AC systems.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design of relay protection schemes for transmission lines and devices.
• Setting protective relays and performing fault analysis.
• Maintaining DPC’s fault model and performing studies.
• Providing technical assistance to various departments.
• Preparing equipment specifications and purchase requisitions.
• Conducting substation grounding activities.
