Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. seeks an Energy-Engineer-in-Training to assist in designing and preparing construction drawings for utility projects, including natural gas, power, transmission, distribution and energy storage.

You will work under a Professional Engineer, contributing to calculations, drafting and coordination across disciplines. Ideal candidate has 0-2 years' experience, a ABET-accredited engineering degree and proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD or Revit, plus strong communication and

0-2 Years of experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
General knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication and technical writing skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Responsibilities

Assist in design and preparation of construction drawings for civil, mechanical, electrical, and utility projects.
Perform engineering calculations, interpret drawings and specifications.
Work with multiple disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.
Conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements and notes.
Prepare design calculations, drawings and cost estimates for review.
Review and approve shop drawings to meet project requirements.
Read and interpret technical documents required for job performance.
Coordinate with sub-consultants to ensure project success.
Attend project meetings to discuss progress and tasks.
Ensure ISO compliance and operate within project budgets.
