Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. in Tennessee seeks a Substation Associate Designer I to contribute to high voltage substation design projects.

You will create One Line Diagrams, Substation Layouts, Foundation Plans, and related deliverables using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. This onsite role is located in Knoxville or Chattanooga, with mentorship from the Substation Engineering Group Lead and opportunities to grow in power systems design.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 0-2 years experience in substation design deliverables.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments within budget and schedule with high accuracy.
• Work under the direction of a Substation Engineering Group Lead.
• Utilize AutoCAD-based design standards.
• Prepare deliverables and project documents.
• Ensure deliverables comply with IEEE/client design requirements.
